There was a very big tropical storm that passed through Haiti in 2015 and was very destructive to the many houses that were not made of cement. After the storm passed there was a mom that came to our gate with her 2 children and her nephew and told us that her house was underwater and she lost everything and there was no way she could take care of these children and asked if we would take care of them so that she could try to rebuild her life after she lost everything. Guivenson and his sister Nika were 2 years old and livinson was 3 years old.

They were very quiet and sad to leave their mom but after a little while they settled in nicely to their new family and they are doing well in school. Guivenson is quiet but loves to play and hang out with the other boys in the boy's house.  He is a very kind young man.
