Abigail came to us in June 2015 when she was over 1 year old and weighing less than 10 pounds. Her father and mother were from the mountain and brought her to us because she was so sick and malnourished and they had no food to give her. We immediately rushed her to the hospital and she spent nearly a month gaining weight and regaining her strength before she came to home us. Abigail did not walk until after she was 2 years old because she was delayed due to the severe malnourishment she suffered as an infant. However, she has now caught up to all of the other kids and brings so much laughter to the orphanage.
