Aaron's parents brought him to our clinic when he was 2 months old, weighing only 6 pounds. He was very malnourished and thin and his mother had not been breastfeeding so we sent them home with formula. One month later, his father returned with him to clinic because Aaron's mother had abandoned them several weeks prior and he was unable to care for the child. He still weighed only 6 pounds when he came to us.
