Deborah came to Mission of Grace at the end of 2013 when she was only 2 months old. Deborah’s mom was very young and had nowhere to live so she had been moving from home to home for quite some time. Her mother had been very malnourished her entire pregnancy and so Deborah was very weak from the time she was born and did not have the nutrients to grow and thrive after she was born. Immediately after receiving Deborah, she was taken to the hospital in order to have her evaluated and placed on a nutrition program. She is still a very petite little girl but she is healthy and enjoys going to school and playing with the other kids.
