Betty first came to live with Ms. Lynn in 2013 when she was 14 years old. Her family is originally from the south of Haiti and has known Ms. Lynn’s family since Betty was a baby. Her mother was worried that Betty would end up getting pregnant if she didn’t get out of their community and have other opportunities available to her. The girl’s home was not yet opened but Ms. Lynn brought Betty to live with her at Ocean View until she moved to the new home when it opened in 2015. Betty is a very sweet, kind young woman with a love for God and others that everybody who meets her notices right away. She is a leader among the girls and has a bright future ahead. She has graduated and is in her 2 year of Accounting
